The last few days have absolutely flown by!
I took annual leave last week because I needed a break from work. And for the first time in my life, I didn't actually do any work whilst off. I can't begin to explain how good that felt.
Course, I am suffering for it now, but I feel calm enough to just get on with it.
So what did I do?
Well, I might have mentioned my stunning purple bedroom. The blinds are now up, the pictures are all hanging up - I went for a moon theme and so all the pictures are of moon rises or moon sets (with the exception of a great print of the northern lights), and inspired by Cecily's purple quilt, I bought a lovely purple throw to keep the cat hair off the bed.
Needless to say, the cats love it!
The floor in the bathroom is now finished. Darth Lila's destruction of the carpet necessitated a change in plans, and so the floor tiles were laid by the Baron instead of the fitter as planned. And he did a fantastic job!
I've just finished painting the back bedroom. It is a light cappachino colour, and the blinds will be going up today. We worked out how to separate the monster wardrobe into two smaller monster wardrobes and one will be going into the box room. The picture theme in the back bedroom is sunsets and sunrises, and I have framed pictures to hang today.
The box room is next on my list (but I'm not telling the Baron). We painted it blue a few months ago, but I have gone off it. I have enough purple left from our bedroom to redo it, and so that is my weekend project, whilst he is at work. It will look far nicer, especially with the blinds, the planned flooring and the second monster wardrobe.
We also did some work in the garden. The cabbage fly infested plants were removed, and we planted my large pepper plants out, since it appears they don't like my conservatory any more.
The Boy attained the grand old age of seven on the twelth. We went bowling, had lunch and then we went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have to say, while there were things I liked about the new version, I think the original was better. Johnny Depp was good, but not sinister enough for my liking.
The Boy got cross with me because I told him Willy Wonka's Dad was Count Dooku. He confiscated my popcorn for that.
We celebrated Willow's one year adoptaversary yesterday. It is hard to believe that I have had her a whole year. We've had Holly almost a whole year as well, and even more shockingly, we have had Ozzie six months.
Amazingly, Lila hasn't eaten anything that she shouldn't have.
And it is ten weeks and four days until the wedding. Argh!

Will you come decorate my house?
I cracked up about WW & Count Dooku - I would have confiscated your popcorn, too!

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your bedroom re-do. LOL at Willy Wonka's dad. :)
These next 10 weeks (and two days) will fly by. Is everything falling into place?

Woohoo for home improvement projects! I'm kinda enjoying the fact that we don't have to do any here (we're renting for a year). LOL at The Boy and the movie.

Sounds lovely -- the purple and the moons and the sunrises and sunsets. :-)
I still have a half painted kitchen -- the color Purple Moon. Heh. I like it. But at the rate I go with my decorating, I will want to change things. Sigh.
Home projects are both fun and potentially nerve frazzling.
